The rest of the city was nice. Lots of crazy architecture. I can see why alot of architecture students study abroad here, some of the buildings are freaking nuts. The bikes, of course, were everywhere and you really do have to watch out because bikes in Amsterdam are like cabs in New York: If you’re in their way, they will hit you.

I spent most of my time working so the pictures were scarce, but hopefully next time I go, I’ll get a few good shots.

What you don’t see in this clip from American Idol is Tiffany’s parents telling her not to “give up on her dream” and to keep pursuing her singing “career”. She goes on to say she “ain’t no quitter” and “she’ll show them”. Tiffany, I’m saying this from the bottom of my heart. You should quit. I know you always hear that saying: “quitters never win and winners never quit”. That’s horseshit. Some of the smartest people I know have quit.

We all played sports when we were younger and dreamed of being a pro athlete. Can you imagine if you had continued to strive for that goal? You were right to have quit trying to be the next Lebron James. Chances are your asthmatic ass wouldn’t have made it…so you quit. Good Choice.

This is something that needs to be taught to people. Sometimes quitting is the best option. How many times do you read that story about the newest Playboy Playmate wanting to “catch her big break in Hollywood”. Give me a break. 90% of those women got there because they were good looking, not talented. Someone needs to show them that their goals are unattainable and ridiculous. Pamela Anderson has been trying to act for a good 20 years. I dare you to name a movie where her rack wasn’t displayed. You know how you know you’ve made it as an actress? When you don’t have to display your tits for half of the movie for it to be interesting. Pamela Anderson should quit. It’s the right thing to do.

What the eff? This picture is supposed to be of the Chinese Swat team in a drill using Segways. I can see how moving forward at about 10mph would be easier than walking, but what if they encounter a mob armed with bags of marbles? Perhaps they should watch this educational video:

There’s nothing like a midget in a tiny teddy bear suit to brighten your day. How Verne Troyer agreed to put on a teddy bear suit and jump into the arms of two condescending women is beyond me. I’m wondering if he took a hit of crystal meth before this stunt or if they wouldn’t give it to him until he participated. There had to be some kind of incentive here. Midgets just don’t do this shit for free. If they did, the world would be a hell of a lot funnier…or a hell of a lot creepier. I haven’t decided which yet.

I stumbled on this video podcast a while back when I picked up my iPhone. I thought I would look into putting something on there that I could watch while I was in the car since I was taking a road trip. It’s a perfect mix of NBA News, Fantasy Advice, and just idle trash talking between two friends. The production quality is actually kick ass. I’ve never seen a podcast produced this well complete with segment bumpers that don’t look like they were made on Windows Movie Maker. I highly recommend it if you like basketball, Canadians, or even well produced podcasts.

I don’t know why but I would say 90% of advertising annoys the shit out of me. It’s not because it’s a commercial or because they are invading my space. I don’t mind commercials or product placement. It’s going to be there whether I like it or not, it’s that for the most part it sucks. It’s hardly ever original and all the unfunny cliches or clever jokes they try to put in suck. There’s really only a handful of industries that always seem to get it right, condom companies are one of those.

Condom ads have always been some of the most clever and funny ads on both television and print. The only other industry that comes close are Beer companies. Every now and then, you’ll find a funny ad somewhere else, but for the most part it’s always some old school fat cat who doesn’t want to change up the old tried and true formula and pushes out crap.

I can’t explain why I find this video to be so damn funny everytime but it just never gets old. Maybe it’s the look on the guy’s face of joy at the beginning of the clip when you can see him plotting what he’s about to do. Maybe it’s his solemn realization: “Oh God, I think I just shit myself…”. Or maybe it’s the walk of shame he has to take to clean himself. It’s gold. Comedic pants-shitting Gold.
